The association covers taxi ranks at Tamaimo Tropical, Hotel
Barcelo Santiago, Vigilia Park, Plaza de Santiago, Playa la
Arena, Los Gigantes Sports Center, Los Gigantes Harbour and
the Central office which is located at the side of the Hotel
Los Gigantes at nº10 Calle Flor de Pascua - where you
can pop in to see Marta or Daniela and enquire about the many
services that we offer to visitors including custom excursions
for up to 4 adults which are not only more comfortable, and
can be scheduled at times to suit the client, but often work
out cheaper per person than going on the bus!
Although much of the driving done is for
holiday makers on the coast, we mustn't forget that the association
covers the whole municipality from Valle Arriba above Santiago
del Teide town down to Tamaimo and all the villages in between. |
This
photograph was taken in 1973 and shows the area where the
Central Taxi Office rank in Calle Flor de Pascua is situated
today. Everyone was waiting to greet the King and Queen
of Spain (at that time still Prince and Princess) when they
came to inaugurate the 2nd phase of the hotel los Gigantes
(shown below in in the late 1960s
